Wakefield Township crash

At about 1:39 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15, the Stearns County Emergency Communications Center was notified of a motor vehicle crash with injuries at County Road 2 and Island Lake Road in Wakefield Township. The caller reported -losing control of the vehicle they were driving and being stuck in the ditch.

Upon arrival, deputies found a 2016 Chevrolet Express van that had been driven by Dylan Charles Hann, 25 of Eden Valley. The van had been traveling south on County Road 2 when it hit a patch of ice and snow on the shoulder and lost control. It entered the west ditch of County Road 2 and continued southbound across Island Lake Road. The vehicle then climbed a berm and came to a rest on the south side of Island Lake Road.

Hann sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the St. Cloud Hospital by Mayo Clinic Ambulance.
