PUBLIC NOTICE
The City of Watkins Planning Commission shall hold a public hearing Thursday, December 26, 2024, at 7 p.m. at Watkins City Hall, 111 Central Avenue South, Watkins MN 55389, to consider options to amend the Watkins Zoning Ordinance, Article XX, M-1 Industrial District. Amend Section 20.02 to add Small Box Variety Stores as a use requiring a Conditional Use Permit. Amend Section 20.03 to regulate storage of materials for Conditional Uses. Add Section 20.08 SMALL BOX VARIETY STORES to define, restrict and regulate Small Box Variety Stores. Amend Articles XV, XVI, XVII, XVIII and XIX to add Small Box Variety Stores as a prohibited use. A special meeting of the Planning Commission to review public testimony and make recommendations to the City Council shall follow the -public hearing.
