We ACT commitment at EV-W

EV-W Schools have joined the Free The Children Foundation with a commitment to ?ÄúWe ACT?Äù. We ACT is a pledge to take action on one local and one global cause. The ?ÄúWe ACT?Äù organization provides resources for all children to become agents of change.

Seventh-12th graders will be particicpating in a pledge to fill the local food shelf by participating in ?ÄúWe Scare Hunger?Äù. To do this, they will become hunger HEROS by collecting nonperishable food items on Halloween Night. So if some of your trick-or-treaters seem a little tall this year just remember that they are out for a good cause not just a piece of chocolate.

All items will be collected at school Tuesday, Nov. 5. Senior leadership members will deliver the items collected to the food shelf in the afternoon Nov. 5.

In addition to ?ÄúWe Scare Hunger,?Äù a small group of students will be attending We DAY with 15,000 youth and educators at the Xcel Energy Center Wednesday, Nov. 12.
We DAY brings young people together to celebrate the actions that they are taking in their local and global communities. More importantly We DAY is a day of inspiration for another year of change. This year We DAY MN will feature Magic Johnson, The Band Perry and actor/muscisians from the ABC TV series ?ÄúNashville,?Äù just to name a few.
