It was approximately 14 years ago that my husband and I made the decision to move to a small-town community, with proximity to St. Cloud. We were at the beginning stages of marriage and getting ready to set down roots to build a family together when we started our search for a home. It quickly became apparent that Eden Valley-Watkins school district would be high on our priority list as it was continually recommended to us by others. The district had many of the things we were looking for: a great reputation, small class sizes, satisfied staff, multi-generational family attendance, and a variety of extra-curricular activities. EV-W also had great scores and high standing in academics.
Just as these things were true back then, they are even more true today. Now, we have first-hand knowledge and experiences of our own and can clearly see why the district has such a great reputation. Eden Valley-Watkins is able to offer many competitive, cutting-edge activities and sports to the students. The academics clearly speak for themselves and are obvious in reported scores. The staff at the district are clearly invested in the kids. Staff commitment is evident by their work, attention and their support for the kids socially and academically.
We are faced with the opportunity to vote YES on Nov. 6. Voting YES is a tangible way to show your support to improve the structures we have and to make them safe. Voting YES is a tangible way to show your support to allow improvements that will allow the staff and students feel secure. Voting YES is a tangible way to help our whole community succeed.
We are proud to say that we settled in this community all those years ago and we are proudly showing our support with a YES vote. We encourage you to do the same.
