In the past, The Kimball Giving Tree Project has helped families in the Kimball area and the Kimball Area School District that are in need of some help for Christmas presents. If you are a family in need, or if you know of a family in need, call Mary Mathies at (320) 398-6168 (all information will be kep confidential). Area businesses and organizations who would also like to provide a sponsorship or participate can call Mathies for more information. “A general financial guideline is the free and reduced lunch program at school, however, we realize unexpected circumstances can sometimes create a temporary financial hardship,” Mathies said. “With this in mind, if you are in need of help this year, regardless of the financial guidelines, please still apply.” Applications need to be received by Friday, Nov. 30, to be eligible. Pick up date and times for gifts will be Monday evening, Dec. 17, from 6-7:30 p.m. at St. Anne’s Church in Kimball (call Mathies if you need a different time to pick up your gifts).
