William ‘Bill’ Herges, 66

William “Bill” Herges of Kimball died Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, at the St. Cloud Hospital. He was 66.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Kimball. Relatives and friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday at Wenner Funeral Home at 151 Oakwood Ave. SE in Richmond, with Parish Prayers at 5 p.m. Visitation will continue Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at St. Anne’s Church in Kimball. Burial will be in the St. Anne’ Parish Cemetery in Kimball.

Bill Herges was born July 2, 1944, in Rockville to George and Marie (Worm) Herges. He married Nancy Donabauer May 4, 1968, in Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rockville. Bill loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a farmer first and foremost. Bill thoroughly enjoyed his life on the farm, working the land, and he could fix anything. Bill also worked for 15 years for Burlington Northern in St. Cloud. Bill’s father-in-law took him hunting for his first time in 1967, to find out that he really enjoyed it. He was a member of St. Anne’s Parish.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and two infant sisters.

He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 42 years Nancy; children Lonnie (and Michelle) of Richmond, Joe of St. Cloud, and Kelly of St. Cloud; grandchildren Blake and Trent; brothers Richard (and Carol) of Ohio, and Alvin (and Elaine) of St. Joseph.
