The Kimball Area High School Fine Arts Department will present a winter band concert and art show Tuesday, March 22. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m., with art work on display before and after the concert. This is a change of date for the concert as it has appeared on earlier calendars (previously March 20). The concert will include performances by the junior high band, senior high band, jazz band and a few select small ensembles. These groups will perform a broad selection of contemporary band works, some show/pop tunes, a Rennaissance piece, some “classic” band works, some “screamin’ jazz tunes” and even a “stomp-like” percussion piece on garbage cans – something for all musical tastes. In conjunction with the KAHS Food Drive that week, anyone attending the concert March 22 is asked to bring a good item as “admission” to the concert and these donations will go to the Kimball Food Shelf.
