It?Äôs not often that our publication date falls right on Christmas. (A rough guess would put it once every seven years.) That makes this year?Äôs Christmas edition extra-special.
I?Äôve noticed, though, that this year is especially hard for many around us. There have been at least two waves of flu going around, and hitting hard. Tragic accidents, deaths, illness, car problems, financial woes, physical ailments ?Ķ so many things that can really put a crimp on anyone?Äôs Holiday spirit.
With that said, I wish you a MERRY Christmas ?Ķ if you?Äôre up to it. Not everyone is this year.
Perhaps a better wish is that you have a BLESSED Christmas. This can be achieved no matter what calamity has befallen you and yours.
Even better, you can be a BLESSING to someone else ?Ķ again, regardless of what?Äôs going on in your life.
As everyone else gets bogged down with their problems, and all the extra hassles that seem to have come out this time of year (traffic, weather, job stress, etc. ad nauseum), this is the perfect time to extend a simple blessing to someone else. A smile costs nothing, and can make someone?Äôs day. A helpful hand, a kind word.
YOU can be the angel that someone needs in his or her life today. Trust me, I speak from experience. And you?Äôll never be the same again.
I invite you to see beyond the temporary woes, as grievous as they may be, and to see the blessings in your life. Have a wonderfully BLESSED Christmas!
