The Kimball wrestlers and coaches would like to thank Powder Ridge and Bob Stein for hosting their awards banquet. They would alsolike to give a big thank you to John and Jackie Bolvin for donating the keg of root beer. This was the ninth year they have done this for the wrestlers and cheerleaders. At the banquet Mike Schind- ler and Chris Dahlinger, who have both donated their time, were also thanked for helping with the wrestling program all season. Letter and team awards were also awarded. Letter winners were Jacob Kieke, Andrew Huhn, Derek Orbeck, Jamie Krantz, Chris Barthel, John Hanley, Michael Wills, Dan Barthel, Dav- id Dahnke, Joe Maurer, Erich Deutsch, Aaron Dahlinger, Chris Sheehan, Josh Kieke, Peter Jon- as, Gary Salmela, Zach Mackereth, Jeremy Dahnke, Ryan Nutter, Luke Deutsch, Brianna Libbesmeier, Jenna Brand, Allison Rosha and Nicole Konz. All-conference selections were Dan Barthel, Peter Jonas, Gary Salmela and Luke Deutsch. Second team all-conference was Jeremy Dahnke and Brandon Hurrle. Academic all-conference was Erich Deutsch. Team awards went to: o Jeremy Dahnke – most pins. o Erich Deutsch – wrestling Iron Man (not missing any practices or matches). o Dan Barthel – most improved. o Jeremy Dahnke – most valuable. Jeremy Dahnke finished his high school career with 97 wins which is ninth on the Kimball all-time win list. Gary Salmela finished his high school career with 84 wins, which is 18th on the win list. Congratulations go out to the whole team and especially the seniors for all the entertainment they have provided over the years. The wrestlers would also like to thank the Kimball Elementary Wrestling Club for the nice hats that were given out to all the wrestlers that assisted at the elementary tournament.
