The Kimball Wrestlers treated their parents to a big win over Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop, 51-25. The Cubs wrestled aggressively and allowed only two pins all night. One big match of the night was Michael Wills (189) with his first win and pin on varsity. Also earning pins for Kimball were Jacob Kieke (103), Erich Deutsch (135), Dan Barthel (140) and John Hanley (160). Congratulations to Doug Knaus for receiving the Kimball Wrestling Alumni and Booster Club award for years of service in helping to promote wrestling in the Kimball area. Kimball will wrestle in a quad at Rocori Friday, Feb. 13, starting at 5:30 p.m. Team sectionals begin the following Tuesday. It hasn’t been announced where and when Kimball will wrestle.
