Yvonne Bublitz of Kimball died Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Hilltop Health Care Center in Watkins. She was 86.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-6 p.m. Friday, May 16, at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Kimball; a prayer service will be at 6 p.m. Friday.

Yvonne Susan Loesch was born Oct. 25, 1938, in Watkins to Henry and Angie (Olk) Loesch. She was united in marriage to Eugene Bublitz Dec. 7, 1957, in Minneapolis. They made their home in Wayzata before moving to Carnelian Lake, north of Kimball, to raise their family.

In addition to caring for the home and tending to her children, Yvonne worked for Kimball Schools for 11 years in the food service department while her kids where in school. Soon after, she worked as a sales clerk at Stein’s Thriftway Foods until her retirement.

Yvonne enjoyed traveling the western United States along with her husband Gene. She was a gardener, finding solace and beauty in nurturing plants and flowers that flourished under her care. Her passion for needle crafts and reading reflected her creative spirit, while her occasional visits to the casino added a spark of adventure to her life. Yet, her greatest joy came from her time spent with her family, particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gene, and nine brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her children Cindy (and Ed) Stein of Kimball, Linda (and Chuck) Schoolmeesters of Litchfield, and Brad Bublitz of Kimball; five grandchildren Nikki, Kelly, Adam, Blaine, and Alec, and five great-grandchildren; sisters Dorothy Brose and Connie Serbus; and many other family members and friends.
