County Auditor-Treasurer, an-
nounces that the redistricting maps for Stearns County have been completed. The maps show the new Congressional, Legislative and County Commissioner Districts. Congressional and Legislative Redistricting has caused the splitting of Avon, Munson and St. Joseph Townships into two precincts, while Maine Prairie, St. Wendel and Zion Townships return to one precinct. Significant changes were also made to the size and shape of the St Cloud precincts. Detailed maps are available on the Stearns County website at www.co.stearns.mn.us/Government/

Filing opens Tuesday, May 22, for offices with a primary
Candidates for county offices can file in person at the Auditor-Treasurer’s office, located in the Stearns County Administration Building, Room 148, 705 Courthouse Square, St. Cloud, 56303. Hours are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The last day to file for office is June 5, at
5 p.m. Any Legislative candidate residing in Stearns County can also file with the Stearns County Auditor-Treasurer’s Office.
County offices up for election in 2012 include the County Commissioner for Districts 1,2, 3, and 4, and Soil and Water Conservation Supervisor for Districts 2, 3, and 4.
