School Board Recognition Month

The Eden Valley-Watkins School District and Minnesota School Boards Association would like to recognize our EV-W school board members and generate awareness of the vital function our elected board members play in our school-community. 

EV-W schools is joining other public-school districts from across the state to celebrate School Board Recognition Month to honor our board members for their commitment to communities, students, and staff. 

Strong schools help build strong communities, and our EV-W board members devote countless hours to making sure our schools are helping every child learn, succeed, and prepare for the future. These board members are faced with challenging decisions every month, and spend many hours reviewing and studying education issues and regulations in order to provide the standard of accountability our citizens have come to expect from a high performing district. 

Even though we’re making a special effort to show our appreciation this month, school board member’s work is a year-round commitment. Let’s be sure to say “thank you” to our EV-W School Board member: Jay Brovold, Vienna Meyers, Jen Evens, Ben Stommes, Chelsie Heuring, Lisa Ludwig, and Ann Lemke.
