Kimball Golf Club News June 1

·

The average golfer can improve their score by just practicing chipping and putting. If I ask an average golfer what percentage of practice time they spend on the short game, the answer would be like a deer in headlights.

I challenge you to devote the next time you play golf to spend 10 to 15 minutes on the putting green. So if you do this on a continuous basis, I will guarantee that you will improve your score. And doing that will make your round of golf more enjoyable.

Emerson said, ?ÄúThinking is the hardest work in the world. That?Äôs why so few do it.?Äù Too many golfers think chipping and putting is hard work. That?Äôs why so few of them do it. Let?Äôs change that thinking.

?ÄúAsk yourself how many shots you would have saved if you never lost your temper, never got down on yourself, always developed a strategy before you hit a shot, and always played within your own capabilities.?Äù ~ Jack Nicklaus
