First-graders at Kimball Elementary School enjoyed a Thanksgiving feast Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 23. In the morning, the three classrooms made applesauce from fresh apples. They also made their own Pilgrim and Indian costumes. In the afternoon, they shared the applesauce along with popcorn, juice, and pumpkin muffins. The fun tradition started long ago, with teacher Dode Klein, and it?Äôs wonderful that it?Äôs survived after her retirement. Staff photo by Jean Doran Matua.
