The Annandale-based alpine skiing team that includes skiers from Annandale, Maple Lake, Kimball, and other schools, competed Feb. 4 in the Section 5A Alpine Skiing Tournament at Wild Mountain.
The boys’ team placed 15th. The team included Olin Lampi, Ian Langbehn, Kyle Kruger, Joey Novotny, and George Sylvester; Pete Jones did not finish.
The girls’ team placed 16th. The team included Paisley Goff, Avery Rambow, Faith Pool, and Kayla Jensen; Brooke Niedzielski and Shirley Langbehn were disqualified.
As individuals, freshman Olin Lampi placed 62nd, sophomore Ian Langbehn placed 63rd, senior Kyle Kruger placed 67th, junior Joey Novotny placed 78th, freshman and George Sylvester placed 92nd, and junior Pete Jones did not finish.
For the girls, individual rankings were as follows: sophomore Paisley Goff placed 64th, eighth-grader Avery Rambow placed 66th, sophomore Kayla Jensen placed 79th, and sophomore Brooke Niedzielski and senior Shirley Langbehn were both disqualified.
Neither the Annandale Co-op team nor its individual skiers will move on in State competition.
