Arvig donates over $1,400 to Kimball Schools

·

It was a pleasant surprise when Mr. Erik Widvey, High School Principal, received a check for more than $1,400 from Arvig Enterprises, a local Internet Service Provider. The money is from the School Partnership Program, in which customers, according to their website, ?Äúsign up, and Arvig will donate $1 each month to the school of your choice at no additional cost to you.?Äù Kimball Schools is expected to receive a donation twice a year.

At Kimball Schools, this money will directly impact students. With limited budgets, the principals often use their own travel budgets to provide incentives and prizes for students. Mr. Widvey hopes to use the money for a variety of student-centered activities including Student of the Quarter incentives, field trip costs for students who need financial assistance, T-shirts for incoming seventh-grade students, Honor Roll breakfast, a going-away gift for foreign exchange students, and school-wide spirit events.
