The American Red Cross visited Eden Valley Tuesday, May 2. Thank you to all the volunteers who make this blood drive happen each and every time.
Thank you to the Legion and the Legion Auxiliary for serving in the canteen and picking up the tab for the snacks. Thank you to the members of the Church of God for the tasty meal. Thanks to the American Dairy Association for the donation of the butter and cheese. Thanks to all who helped advertise; the Tri-County News, EV-W Voice, other local papers, marquee, churches, local businesses, radio and television stations.
A special shout out to the Eden Valley Event Center for the use of the facility. The space was roomy and seemed to be a convenient spot for donors.
A warm hearted ?ÄúThank You?Äù to the donors. The end result was
76 units collected. Many of you made appointments which helps with the flow of the blood drive; but thank you to all the walk-ins who help fill in the gaps ?Ķ everyone is needed to help make this event successful.
We are always looking for more donors to volunteer their time to donating lifesaving blood. If blood donating is not your thing there are other opportunities for you to get involved; you could help call donors, greet at the door, help in the canteen, etc.
The next dates for Eden Valley are Wednesday, Aug. 9, and Wednesday, Jan. 24. Keep your ears open for neighboring towns that are hosting if that works better for you.
Bonnie
