Christmas drawing winners

·

The Tri-County News has been running Christmas drawings by local elementary students for decades now. It is a fun and popular Holiday tradition, to be sure.

In recent years, the drawings are in full color, as the students draw them. Each one is sponsored by a local advertiser; they pay for the printing of the Christmas issue, and the cash prizes for select drawings.

In our eyes, every single student is a winner, and it can be very difficult to first select drawings to be used in the TCN Christmas issue and then, from those, to select which drawing will receive a prize. We take the process of judging and selecting the drawings very seriously. And we’re always happy to share some of their Holiday cheer around.

Each student with a winning drawing receives a letter along with their cash prize. The letter thanks them for their nice work, and includes which advertiser sponsored their drawing. We like to include individualized words of encouragement to each artist as well.

As always, we would like to thank our advertisers – who make this all possible (by paying for it). And the teachers and staff at the Kimball Elementary, the EV-W Elementary in Eden Valley, and the EV-W Elementary in Watkins; without your help and cooperation getting us the drawings, we’d have nothing to print in the Christmas issue. And we thank the students for sharing their joy and enthusiasm about the Holidays with us and our readers!
