Clifford “Chip” Lunde of Kimball died Monday, Dec. 29, 2014, from complications of a recent stroke. He was 62. 
A visitation will be held at the Ertl Funeral Home in Watkins from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2015, with sharing of memories at 7 p.m. There will be no services.
Clifford “Chip” Leander Lunde was born Feb. 17, 1952, to Clifford and Florentine Lunde. He grew up in Cold Spring. Later Cliff moved to Texas and worked as an insurance agent. In 1991 Cliff returned home to care for his mother. After returning home, Cliff worked at Electrolux and later Nahan Printing from which he retired in 2012. Cliff was joined in marriage to Lurene Gabrelcik-Berscheid June 29, 2002. Cliff enjoyed working outside, practicing his golf swing, playing Word Whomp, organizing and helping around the house. He also truly enjoyed teasing his grandchildren and spending time with his dog Chloe. Cliff’s sense of humor and kind nature will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Cliff was preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Florentine Lunde; mother-in-law and father-in-law Marge and Wally Gabrelcik; brother Wayne Lunde; sister Sandy Lunde-Tadych; sister-in-law Marlys Lunde; brothers-in-law Walter “Jr.” Tadych, and Michael Conley.
He is survived by his wife Lurene Lunde of Kimball; step-daughters Jenny (and Todd) Hamilton of Kimball, Kristina (and Jim) Kelm of Eden Valley and their children Jade, Trenton, and Taylor Hamilton and Brandon and Brent Kelm. Cliff is also survived by his brothers and sisters Bob Lunde, Dick (and Nancy) Lunde, Jeff (and Jackie) Lunde, Judy Conley, Jane (and Bob) Stang, Mary Morris, Cindy (and Farron) Schaefer, and Michelle (and James) Voss; brothers and sister-in-law Linda (and Ben) Johnson, Rick Gabrelcik, Sandra Gabrelcik, Gary (Kerry) Gabrelcik, Karon (and Lynn) Hokanson, Deb Landwehr, Kevon (and Kim) Gabrelcik, Randy (and Carol) Gabrelcik, Rhonda Donabauer (and Greg Pusc), Jeff Gabrelcik (and Natalie Noakes), Jody (and Brian) Gagnon, Tracy (and Jamie) Tougas, Terry (and Annie) Gabrelcik, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
