Marilyn Wimmer of Kimball died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014, at the Talahi Care Center in St. Cloud. She was 81. 
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, at St. Anne Catholic Church in Kimball with Fr. Thomas Olson officiating. Interment will follow in St. Anne Catholic Cemetery in Kimball. Visitation will be held from 3:30-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 1, at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Kimball and one hour prior to the funeral at the church. A prayer service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Marilyn Regina Wimmer was born Jan. 5, 1933, in Manannah, Minn., to Ambrose J. and Irene O. (Waldorf) Brutger. Marilyn
graduated from Litchfield High School in 1951, and from Minneapolis Business College in 1953. She was united in marriage to Donald M. Wimmer April 11, 1953, at St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church in Forest City. Marilyn lived in Kimball more than 55 years where she was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, the Mission Group and Christian Mothers. She worked for Northwestern Bell in Minneapolis, Theis Brothers Chevrolet and International Harvester dealership in Watkins. She also worked at the Watkins Creamery and Sparboe Farms in Litchfield. Marilyn was active in 4-H where she served as a leader. She was a member of four polka clubs, as she loved to dance. She also enjoyed fishing, baking, and playing the organ.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Edwin and Leo; and three infant grandsons.
She is survived by her husband Donald; son Eugene (and Joann) of Little Falls; daughter Jane (and Paul) Nelson of Andover; brother Clem (and Jean) Brutger of Foreston; sister Darlene Phillipp of Watkins; grandchildren Jaclyn Schultz, Angela (and Kory) Mortezaee, and Michael (and Cassidy) Wimmer; great-grandchildren Kayla and Austin Mortezaee.
Joan Zongo and the St. Anne Choir will provide music for the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Kimball.
