We had a frost advisory on Saturday night into early Sunday morning for much of Greater Minnesota. Temperatures generally fell into the mid 30s across central and west central Minnesota.
Some of the coldest air, however, was in southwestern Minnesota where it dropped to 32 degrees in Pipestone and 33 degrees in Slayton.
More clouds were found across northern Minnesota which acted as a blanket and kept temperatures up into the mid- to upper-30s. No record low temperatures were reported, but it was no doubt much cooler than our average low near 50 degrees for this time of the year.
We started the warm up on Monday where temperatures got back into the low- to mid-60s with some spotty rain across the state.
For the midweek, we will see the possibility of rain and maybe an isolated thunderstorm or two as a low pressure system is projected to arrive.
Look for a fairly decent Memorial Day weekend with highs in the 70s expected as a change in the jet stream will take place. However, there will be some scattered showers and thunderstorms for Saturday into early Sunday as a couple of disturbances will push across the Upper Midwest.

Weather history: On this date in 2008 an EF-3 tornado struck the community of Hugo in east central Minnesota. One person was killed and nine people were injured in the storm.
