Kimball started the new season Saturday, Dec. 4, with a nice win over Long Prairie-Grey Eagle, 73-48. The game was a no-doubter from the inception, as the Cubs took a 49-26 half-time bulge and ran away with it.
Kimball stats
Loch, 5 points; Mortensen, 4 points; Schindler, 3 points; Tubridy, 14 points, 5 assists; Becker, 13 points, 3 rebounds; -Waldorf, 3 points; Gruba, 20 points, 8 rebounds; Spaulding, 4 points, 5 rebounds; Gustafson, 7 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists.
“We were able to get out to a good start. We had a lot of open shots we were able to knock down because we moved the ball really well. Skylor Gruba did a great job around the rim, and our guards did a nice job getting him the ball. Knocking down six threes was a big help in opening up the interior,” remarked Coach Jay Klein.
