Dolores Faber of Watkins died Friday, March 19, 2021, after a brief hospitalization in Minneapolis, surrounded by her children in-person and online. She was 89. 
A private family funeral and burial is planned due to COVID-19. The service will be live-streamed on the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home website. A safe and healthy celebration of her life is planned for a future date.
Dolores Rose Bates was born to Norbert and Magdalene Bates. She graduated from Kimball High School with the Class of 1949. She married Julius Faber Aug. 5, 1950, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Watkins; he preceded her in death May 7, 2005.
Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Julius, infant son Gary, parents, one sister and two brothers.
She is survived by her children Bonnie (and Michael Griffin) Faber, Tom (and Linda) Faber, Laurie (and Mike) Boggess, Lana Faber, Tim (and Jackie) Faber, Terry Faber, Tony (and Theresa) Faber, Julene (and Bob) Andrusick, Ted (and Vicki) Faber, and Todd Faber. She is also survived by three brothers and three sisters, and the loves of her life: 23 grandchildren (plus six spouses), and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorials are preferred to the Sisters of St. Benedict, 104 Chapel Lane, St. Joseph MN 56374; the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation, 920 E. 28th St., Minneapolis MN 55407; or to the donor’s choice.
