The Eden Valley-Watkins bucket boys recently played a split-decision week. Coming out on the short end of a double overtime thriller, the Eagles lost, 90-84, to a scrapping Paynesville bunch Tuesday, Jan. 11. Ever determined and always confident, EV-W swallowed-up Holdingford, 51-27 -Saturday, Jan. 15, a game originally scheduled for Friday, Jan. 14.

The Eagles hit a 3-pointer at the end of regulation, to tie things at 69. In the first overtime, EV-W drilled two free-throws with six-seconds remaining, and forced a second OT.
