EVAL Wish Tree, a reflection on ‘Wishtree’ novel

·

The Eden Valley Area Library joined the community tree trimming celebration with decorating a street tree outside our library. Our theme was Wish Tree in honor of the junior fiction novel “Wishtree” by author Katherine Applegate.

A message from author Katherine Applegate on her FB page: “Thanks so much for sharing your wishtree with me!”

Here are some of the wishes shared on the Wish Tree:

I wish to find a job.

I wish to have more valuable time with my children and my two granddaughters, even if it’s a phone call or video call.

Get COVID under control.

Future growth for our area library.

I wish for family peace and love that extends to the community, state, country, world.

For my family to have a safe and peaceful holiday and new year.

Better health.

Food enough for everyone.

My family stays healthy.

I wish the Lord comes soon.

My daddy to get better.

I wish the library ladies stay healthy.

To have a better financial setup.

That everyone has a home.

COVID would end.

Good health.

I wish for peace on Earth, and COVID would end.

I wish that I was rich Mairy X-mas.

Please Jesus cure XXXXXX of his lymphoma.

I wish to go back to school.
