Day one of the Region 11C tournament in Watkins was a complete wash-out. All Saturday games were played Sunday because of torrential rains Friday night and Saturday morning.
Ben Johnson pitched a shut-out game for the Express Sunday, Aug. 5, limiting the Joes to one hit, a double at the start of the second inning.
Scott and Brooks Marquardt scored the two Express runs, in the third inning. The rest of the game was rather uneventful, with quick innings.

As of press time, it is unknown what the remainder of Region 11C tournament schedule is. The Express will play either Luxemburg or Foley in their next game.
