The Express racked up their second win of the weekend hosting the Pearl Lake Lakers Sunday afternoon, June 3. It was a warm one, and both teams fought for the lead throughout the game. Final score was 11-8.
Matt Dingmann earned the win for the Express, pitching three innings; Zach Dingmann pitched five and Ben Johnson one. Taking the loss was Justin Kunkel on the mound 3.33 innings, with Tommy Linn pitching 3.67 innings and Alex Miller one.
Leading the Express was Austin Ruehle scoring four runs on the game, hitting a triple, a double, two singles, and a RBI. Zach Sufka hit the only Express homerun, in the first, and had two RBI; and one run apiece was scored by Brooks Marquardt, Troy Filzen, Ben Johnson, Zach Dingmann, and Matt Dingmann. Adam Beyer had two RBI.
For the Lakers, Tommy Linn was 3-for-3 with one RBI. Ryan Wieneke and Justin Kunkel each hit a homerun, with 3 and 1 RBI respectively. Other runs were scored by Ryan Wieneke, Justin Kunkel, Derrick Garding, Preston Peglow, and Chadd Kunkel.

Express roast the Chuckers
Friday night, the Express traveled to Atwater where they ran over the Chuckers, 17-9. The Express jumped ahead, with seven runs after the second inning, and Atwater didn?Äôt stand a chance, despite scoring six in the sixth.
Joey Von Wahlde earned the win for the Express, with Scott Sufka, Matt Dingmann and Jordan Joseph pitching in relief. Jordan Tanner took the loss for the Chuckers.
Adam Beyer and Zach Dingmann each hit a homerun. Zach Dingmann had two other runs, with 6 RBI. Ben Johnson and Troy Filzen each got two runs, and every other player that night (with one exception, Ben Theisen) scored a run.
The Chuckers?Äô Goose Hadley hit their sole homerun on the day.
