Weather Column: Many of you might have thought you were living in either London or Seattle as it has been very foggy.
In addition, scattered rain showers, and not snow showers, fell across the state of Minnesota Sunday night into Monday. Many spots picked up more than .50 inches of rain from Sunday night into Monday morning.
Temperatures were very mild otherwise we would have had quite the winter storm. Temperatures on Monday were generally in the
upper 30s and low to mid 40s across Greater Minnesota.
Some spots in southern Minnesota climbed into the lower 50s on Monday. A few isolated thunderstorms even occurred across parts of southeastern Minnesota on Monday.
More rain and snow will be likely on Wednesday as yet another weather disturbance slides across the Upper Midwest. Some lingering flurries will remain possible on Thursday. High pressure is expected to return to the region just in time for the start of the weekend as a blend of clouds and sun should be with us for Saturday before another system will arrive by Sunday.
In case you are wondering, it looks like some colder weather will arrive for next week. At this stage, it looks like by next week we could see temperatures falling into the teens for daytime highs while overnight low temps tumble into the single digits above and below zero.
Enjoy the mild temperatures while they are here!
