Food safety training for homemade food products to be held in St. Cloud

Do you make and sell baked goods, home-canned pickles, salsa, jam or jellies? Meet the training requirements to register as a Minnesota cottage food producer with University of Minnesota Extension Food Safety Training. This training will be held on Saturday, May 7, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and repeated from 2-5 p.m., University of Minnesota Extension Office, St. Cloud.
Learn food safety practices required for all processes covered under the cottage food law including baked, confections, dried, fruit preserves and, acid and acidified fruit and vegetables. You will learn how to produce, package and label a safe food product.
Wonder if your product tests as an allowable non-potentially hazardous food? Bring it along to the cottage food class and have it tested.
