Food Shelf fundraiser

The Kimball Area Ministerial Alliance (KAMA) will host a fundraiser for area food shelves on Friday, March 2, at the high school in Kimball. The ministers of KAMA (representing St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Kimball Church of Christ, Kimball and Zion United Methodist, Lake Union Covenant Church, and St. John’s Lutheran Church) will serve supper before the basketball games at KAHS, starting at 5 p.m. The menu will be hamburgers, cookies, and beverage. Food will be available for a suggested donation. All proceeds will support area food shelves.

March is food shelf month in Minnesota. Matching grants are available for donations made to food shelves during the month, so the ministers of KAMA decided to host an event which would draw attention to this opportunity. In these difficult economic times members of our community are urged to support the food shelves in our area.
