At the Church of Our Lady in Manannah June 7, Joe Moudry carved a 70-plus-year-old tree into a statue of Saint Francis of Assisi. The tree had been damaged in a storm, but was brought to glory by Moudry?Äôs wood-carving skills. It now stands in the church yard as a tribute to Msgr. Francis Garvey. Submitted photo.
