·

Whether you are a beginning gardener searching for information and answers to your questions, or an experienced gardener who would like some hints, Gardening Knowledge for Free is the workshop for you. Gardening Knowledge for Free will be presented by the Stearns County Master Gardeners from 8 a.m.-12 noon Saturday, Feb. 21, at Whitney Senior Center, 1527 Northway Drive, St. Cloud. The six workshops presented will be landscaping basics, spring pruning of trees and shrubs, easy perennials, designing flowerbeds for continuous blooms, basic gardening knowledge, and shade gardening. The topics will be presented by Stearns County Master Gardeners or area specialists. Each person who participates in the workshop will have the opportunity to attend three sessions. Some of the sessions will be presented twice to provide an opportunity for everyone to attend. The workshop is free, but participants must register by calling the Stearns County Extension Service at (320) 255-6169 or (800) 450-6171. When you call you will be asked to select the three workshops in which you plan to participate. This will allow us to determine the number of times to offer each topic. Plan to participate in the Gardening Knowledge for Free workshop at Whitney Senior Center Saturday, Feb. 21. Registration is from 8-8:30 a.m., followed by three one-hour sessions. There is no cost for the workshop, but you must pre-register by calling the Stearns County Extension Service.
