Jerome Scheeler of Kimball died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007, at the Annandale Care Center, Annandale. He was 95. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Kimball. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Kimball. There will be a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the church. Jerome Scheeler was born Sept. 10, 1912, on the Scheeler farm near Pearl Lake to Joseph and Margaret (Bichler) Scheeler. He attended school at Pearl Lake through the eighth grade. Jerome married Laverne Feneis June 15, 1944, in Luxemburg and they purchase their farm in Kimball in 1949. They lived on the farm until the fall of 2006, before becoming residents of the Annandale Care Center. Jerome was known for his conversing, love of his farm, birds, John Deere tractors and gardening, especially his sunflowers and zucchinis. He loved to thinker and repair. In his younger years, he loved to trap and hunt. He loved to watch All-Star Wrestling on Saturday nights and broke several chairs doing so. He loved, and was admired by, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jerome was preceded in death by his parents; sister Alvina Knott; infant brother Ludwig; and infant sister Cecelia. Jerome is survived by his wife Laverne; children Pat (and Duane) Mares of Watkins; Dianne (and Bruce) Robinson of Kimball, Alice Scheeler of Kimball, Lloyd (and Deanna) Scheeler of Kimball, Joyce (and Chucky) Kuechle of Kimball, Janet (and Jim) Thurber of Annandale, and Bonnie (and Don) Thurber of Kimball; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers Marie (and Frank) Pope of Kimball, Regina Krippner of Minneapolis, Margaret Grams of St. Cloud, Aloys Scheeler of Kimball, Laura (and Wheeler) Pope of Kimball, Elsie Pope of Mendota Heights, Clarence (and Gertie) Scheeler of Kimball, Sally (and Harry) Smoley of St. Cloud, and Ray (and Esther) Scheeler of St. Cloud.
