KAHS softball team holds awards banquet

Lots of fun was had at the Kimball fast-pitch team 2024 award winners’ banquet on Sunday, June 30, at Willow Creek Park Shelter. It was a chance for the girls and coaches to reunite and celebrate, while sharing well-deserved accolades for another successful season.

Academic All-Conference: Lilliah Krippner, Samantha -Winter, Elaina Fink, Riley Fischer, Zoe Stuve, Paige Merten. All-Conference Players: First team – Samantha Winter, Allie Leither, Claire Maus, Riley Fischer; Second team – Mazie Jurek, Elaina Fink, Natalie Loehrer, Brooke Stelten. 6AA All-Section: Mazie Jurek, Allie Leither, Riley Fischer. All-State Honorable Mention – Allie Leither. Record Breaker – Riley Fischer, 42 hits in a season, previously held by Mackenzie Leither in 2016 (40); no-hitter against Holdingford; 19 strikeouts in a game, previously held by Becky Kuechle in 1996 (17); 16 wins in a season, previously held by Becky Kuechle in 1995 (15); 192 strikeouts in a season, previously held by Becky Kuechle in 1996 (162).

2024 Team Record Breakers: Lilliah Krippner, Elaina Fink, Zoe Stuve, Riley Fischer, Ella Johnson, manager Katie Hommerding, Brooke Stelten, Baylie Winter, Samantha Winter, Mazie Jurek, Allie Leither, Natalie Loehrer, Claire Maus, Paige Merten – fewest errors in a season with 25, previously held by the 2018 team with 32; – fielding% .958 previously held by the 2018 team with a .952.
