It?Äôs hard to believe that in less than five months we will be celebrating the 36th Kimball Days. We are lucky enough to have a business community who helps support the family fun-filled weekend. We sold 284 wristbands for the KidZone to help offset the cost of the inflatables and launchpads. There were 9 Little Miss Kimball candidates, with three being chosen as ambassadors for our city. The pig races downtown were a new addition, and it sounds like due to a schedule conflict they will not be back this year, but hopefully in the future. There was also softball, beanbags, wrestling, car show, and a parade just to name a few other things to do. We have a great community, and Kimball Days is meant to bring the community together and celebrate. Thank you for helping make it successful.
Our committee has already started the early planning for this year?Äôs festivities, and could use some help to keep it successful. The Kimball Days committee is down to only five volunteers, and without additional members, there will be cuts to the events. Specifically, we need parade coordinators, or there will not be a parade. We are also looking for people to start taking over the advertising and chair positions, along with help the day of, at the kid zone. If you are interested, please come to our next meeting Sunday, March 26, at 6 p.m. at the Kimball fire hall, or give Brian a call at (320) 493-5276.
