Tournament Hosted by Paynesville & Regal Kimball 1 – Bertha Hewitt 3 After six scoreless innings Kimball gets on the scoreboard first when Ronnie Antiel scores from second on a throwing error by Bertha Hewitt first baseman. Travis Rose pitched five scoreless innings but gave up back to back doubles in the bottom of the sixth and then a single put Bertha Hewitt up and gave them the win. Kimball batting: Ben Knaus 1-2, Ronnie Antiel 1-2 run, Andy Dingmann 1-1. Kimball record: 7-11 Kimball 0 – Paynesville 6 In the second game of the day for Kimball they played Paynesville for the right to stay alive in the sixth district tournament. Adam Magnuson pitched sevem good innings allowing only two earned runs. Kimball, however didn’t make the plays in the field and couldn’t put anything together at the plate. Paynesville took advantage by scoring five runs in the third to secure the win and allow them to advance. Kimball hitting: Matt Dingmann 1-3 DBL, Steve Lochen 1-1.
