Friday, June 16, the Kimball Cubs competed at the annual championship tournament in Alexandria. This is the sub-sections to qualify for state competition. In Class 5A, the top four teams of the 26 competing move on to state.
?ÄúWe had great weather conditions but the Cubs placed fifth, just three birds shy of making it to state. Our novice team placed first this year with Anna Donnay placing second in Novice Female High Gun. Saturday, June 24, at Minneapolis Gun Club, Jack Knaus will be competing in individual state competition at 2 p.m. Come on out and support Jack!?Äù said Coach Rob Kuechle.
Team totals: Novice, 379, Rank 1, High-Gun Male Andrew Massmann, 77; High-Gun Female Anna Donnay 80; Junior Varsity: 419, Team Rank 15, High-Gun Male Tyler Konz 92; High-Gun Female Novalee Bechtold 85; Varsity: 473, Team Rank 6, High-Gun Male Jack Knaus 97.
Jack Knaus was State Champion last year, and will compete again for the title this Saturday, June 24, in Minneapolis.
