Marcella “Sally” Nistler, 86

Marcella “Sally” Nistler of Eden Valley died Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at Hilltop Health Care Center in Watkins. She was 86.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 17, at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Eden Valley with Rev. Jerome Naduvathaniyil, OSB, officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Marcella “Sally” M. Nistler was born May 13, 1928, in Richmond to George and Emma (Fischer) Kleis. She married Richard Nistler Jan. 6, 1951, in Wayzata. Sally was a homemaker and lived in the Eden Valley area all of her life. She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church. Sally enjoyed baking chocolate chip cookies and pies, cooking, canning, cleaning, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a kind, generous, caring and happy person. Sally was preceded in death by her parents; husband Richard Dec. 12, 1989; and siblings Leo, Jim, Leonard, and Dick.

She is survived by her children Kenny of Eden Valley, Charlene (and Jim) Nistler-Hall of Richmond, and Janet (and Jerry) Schoenecker of Richmond; stepchildren David Nistler of LaPorte and Irene Haan of Waldron, Ark.; sisters and brothers Mary Ann Hukriede of Litchfield, Shirley Tatro of Akeley, Jerry Kleis of St. Cloud, Carol Kelm of Eden Valley, and Rich Kleis of Eden Valley; grandchildren Dustin (and Jaci) Schoenecker, Candace Schoenecker (and Erik Johansson), and Brad Hall; and great-grandchildren Brooke and Brayden Schoenecker.
