The Kimball School Board held their regular meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2021.
Bids for the High School Building portion of the upcoming IAQ project were presented and approved. Yamry Construction will be the General Contractor with St. Cloud Refrigeration completing the Mechanical portion and Liberty Electric being awarded the electrical portion of the project.
The consent agenda was approved including hiring Stacie Braun, Elementary Social Worker, resignation received from Emma Hohulin, and acceptance of donations.
The principals reported on planning for spring, graduation and next school year, computer use summary for families, elementary food drive starting, Kindergarten numbers, ELA curriculum, and plans for summer school.
The superintendent updated on COVID-related items, upgrade in Moody’s rating to Aa, track surface currently unusable, future LTFM projects, cancelling overnight field trips for this spring, upcoming negotiations with bargaining groups, and updates on ESSER and GEER funds available to schools.
The board adopted the school calendar for 2021-2022, adopted the Student Attendance Policy #503, approved hiring Jacob Kuseske for the custodial vacancy created by Paul Sandell’s retirement, hired Dakota Bratland, high school paraprofessional, and approved the spring coaching assignments.
