Meeker County 4-H Service Project

The Meeker County Ambassadors have been working on their service project by creating placement backpacks for foster kids in Meeker County. These drawstring bags filled with essentials and comfort items will be given to youth when they are placed in foster care homes.

The Ambassadors are excited to coordinate this service project with all of the clubs for a county-wide effort at making a difference in the lives of youth.

Jessica Miller from MN ADOPT spoke to the Ambassador group about foster care and adoption. She explained how the foster care system operates. She had our group do a few interactive activities and answered questions. The Ambassadors felt this was a very well done and helpful presentation.

A special thank you to Citizens Bank in Watkins for a generous donation that was used to purchase items for the foster care bags.
