Micheal “Mike” Roeser of Farwell died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019. He was 61.

A memorial service is scheduled for 12 noon Saturday, Nov. 16, at the Church in the Pines in Alexandria.

Micheal John Roeser was born Dec. 31, 1957, to Reuben and Ramona Roeser, the only boy among three sisters. He attended Eden Valley-Watkins High School and graduated in 1976. He worked curb and gutter until he retired. Mike was married to Joy Roeser. His two children are from a previous marriage.

Traveling to dog shows across the country was something that he enjoyed. At one point, he trained and handled the dogs, Myles and Autumn, himself putting a “championship” title on one and agility titles on the other. He enjoyed the outdoors; whether it be on an open lake in the summer or ice fishing in winter, it didn’t matter. He loved a good fishing day. Spring brought bow hunting for turkey, and fall brought bow and rifle hunting for deer. Mike and Joy had land and a cabin in Inger; it was at this place that he loved where he died.

Mike is survived by his wife Joy Roeser, mother Ramona Hokanson; daughter Ashley (and Jason) Wersinger and son Chase (and Anna) Roeser; sisters Donna (and Bob) Schreiner, Alice Coe (and special friend Jim Weinnman), Shirley TOnnell (and special friend Rich McCann); step-brothers Gary (and Patty) Hokanson, Lynn (and Karon) Hokanson; granddaughter Claire Wersinger; and mother-in-law Lorraine Jensen.
