Naomi Schauer of St. Cloud died on Saturday, May 17, 2003, at Saint Benedict’s Senior Community in St. Cloud. She was 92. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 20, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in St. Cloud. Visitation took place from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, May 19, at Benson Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the church. A prayer service was held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial was in the Fairhaven Cemetery. Naomi Schauer was born in Waverly, Iowa, on Oct. 23, 1910, to William and Ernestine Bremer. She married Ervin Schauer on March 17, 1934, at Concordia Lutheran Church in Fairhaven. When they moved to St. Cloud they became members of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Naomi worked as a cook for various restaurants in Kimball, Annandale and St. Cloud. Schauer was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ervin on April 24, 1991; three brothers and one sister. She is survived by her sons Wilfred “Willie” of St. Cloud and Theodore “Ted” of Yuma, Ariz.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
