The Stearns County Sheriff?Äôs Office received a call of a vehicle through the ice on Lake Koronis, about two miles south of Paynesville, at shortly past midnight Sunday morning, Feb. 5.
Anousone Keobounpheng, 39 of Richfield, was driving a 2010 Chevrolet pickup on the ice when he got lost on the lake. He saw open water in front of him but could not stop. The truck went into the lake and was partially submerged. Keobounpheng was not hurt. Paynesville Ambulance assisted.
