The Wright County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating what it believes to be a homicide that occurred in Marysville Township. On Saturday, Aug. 4, at 11:09 a.m., Wright County Communications Center received a check welfare call of a female resident at 252 36th St. SW. This request came from a family friend who said the individual had not shown up for an appointment. A Wright County deputy responded to the address, checked the exterior of the residence and found nothing unusual. No contact was made with the female resident. The acquaintance was advised. Later that same day, Wright County deputies again responded to the residence after receiving a call from a family member. The member had checked the interior of the residence and found the female victim inside. Wright County Sheriff’s Office MCIU, with the assistance from Anoka County Crime Scene Unit, is currently processing the scene and an autopsy is being conducted by the Wright County Medical Examiner. The Wright County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance from the public and media in locating the victim’s vehicle that is believed to have been taken from the residence – a dark blue 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee, bearing MN license plate HVT377. If anyone has contact with this vehicle, they should not approach but rather contact their local law enforcement authorities by calling 911, or the Wright County Sheriff’s Office at (763) 682-7622. The death remains under investigation by the Wright County Coroner’s Office, and the Wright County Sheriff’s Office.
