The Stars were up for the challenge last Tuesday, Jan. 17, as they invaded the Parade Ice Garden and defeated Minneapolis, 3-2. River Lakes?Äô senior Brooke Oveson started the scoring in period one, on an Alyssa Meed assist. The Stars scored twice in the second period on goals from sophomore Jaiden Deming and junior Courtney Hanson. Shots on goal favored Minneapolis, 29-25.
