Schultz has done it again!

The Team U.S.A. Snowboard team then headed to La Molina in Spain, a ski resort in the Pyrenees, for the next world event.

A day of practice on the steep course with tight turns, and in 50-degree temperatures, before the competition began. Schultz finished in first place on day 1.

Several racers suffered because of the degrading course conditions on day 2, including Schultz. “I had a good start,” Schultz writes on his Facebook page about the Boardercross finals. “I squeezed in the inside line in turn one, but my nose dug in and disappeared into the mashed potato snow and left me cartwheeling across the course and back on my feet. I thought my race was over, but then realized another rider had went down behind me in the start. The race wasn’t over for the third spot yet! I continued to charge forward behind the third-place rider and, with two turns to go, Japan’s Daichi was caught in the snow slop and left-hooked into the B-Net, and I squeaked by and crossed the line for the Bronze Medal!”

He added, “It ain’t over, until it’s over!”

And World Championship competition continues this week in La Molina, with Dual Banked Slalom.

In the midst of all of this, Schultz was named one of the 15 members of the 2023 U.S. Paralympics Snowboarding team.
