I grew up around Kimball, attended and graduated from Kimball Area High School in 1997. I attended Ridgewater College and earned a Law Enforcement Degree. I became a licensed peace officer in 2000, and began working as a police officer for the cities of Albany and Avon. In 2001, I was hired by the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office. I’m active within the Sheriff’s Office, I am one of the lead advisors for our Explorer Post, and a member of our newly formed Honor Guard. I am very active in the community in which I live; I am on the fire department and a city council member. I am the father of five wonderful kids, who are all active in sports.
When the position of School Resource Officer opened at Kimball Area High School, I was excited to express my interest in the position. The idea of coming back to my graduating high school to assist with school safety and being a role model for today’s youth in Kimball seemed to be a good fit for me. As a school Resource Officer for Kimball Schools, I hope to build a solid, long-standing relationship with teachers, students, and the community.
