At about 3:13 p.m. Saturday, May 31, the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a structure fire in the 53,000 block of 291st Street in Swede Grove Township.
Meeker County Deputies, Grove City Fire Department, and Atwater Fire Department responded to the scene. Upon arrival, the deputy saw a barn on the property that was fully engulfed in flames. The property is owned by Wyatt Renne, 26. The barn was unoccupied at the time of the fire and is a complete loss. It is believed a nearby brush fire to have been the cause of the fire. No one was injured as a result of the fire.
