Summer Dance Camp July 17-22

Prairie Dance Alliance of Southwestern Minnesota will be holding its 19th annual Summer Dance Camp July 17-22, at Southwest Minnesota State University. This camp is open to dancers ages 7-21 and will introduce strong technical instruction in various dance styles including Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Lyrical, and Tap, along with opportunities for instruction in Musical Theater, Jazz Funk, and more.

PDA Dance Camp instructors, 2011, are: former local dancer ZAC HAMMER from Nicholas Andre Dance; KRYSTEN HILL ballet instructor who also works with Dance Olympus/Dance America; KALEENA MILLER a Minneapolis-based tap dancer, choreographer, and teacher; and TOMMY SCRIVENS, a Florida native, who has taught master classes all over the world.

A Showcase Performance will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, July, 22, in the SMSU Fine Arts Theater featuring the instructors and the camp participants. Tickets ($5 adult/$3 student) will be available at the door.
